Independence Day Celebration was held on 14th August in anticipation at Sacred Heart International School to commemorate the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.

Ms. Kamal Baduni graced the occasion as the chief guest. She is an educationist who believes in encouraging students to achieve their full potential.
Ms. June, our Project Manager and Ms. Simmie, our academic coordinator accompanied Ms. Kamal to judge the Inter- House Competition (Primary Section). Rosch Gomes from grade 5, Md. Saud Qureshi from grade 4 and Md. Umar Sheikh from grade 3 were the anchors for the event hosted by the Water House. They entertained the audience with their performance. Vidya Patel from grade 4 gave an insight about the achievements of our chief guest and welcomed her.

Each student participated with great enthusiasm in the competition. The students of grade 1 and 2 demonstrated a scene from the freedom struggle. Each house depicted the sacrifices of our leaders to attain freedom from the British rule. Water House and Earth House secured first place, Air House secured second place and Light House secured third place.
Patriotic song competition was held for grade 3 and 4. Students gave an outstanding performance. Earth House secured first place, Water House secured second place and Light House secured third place. It was a melodious display of energy.

The students of grade 5 enunciated the speeches of world leaders. Kashvi Jaware from Earth House won the first place, Teisha D’Souza from Air House secured second place and Shania Fernandes secured third place.

Ms. Kamal enlightened the students with a motivational speech. The Inter-House Competition was concluded with a vote of thanks by Kyle Mendonca from grade 3 followed by the national anthem.

The students of Nursery participated in a Dress up and orate as National leaders Activity. K1 and K2 students participated in a Patriotic Poetry Recitation/ Song Activity. The celebration was concluded by an inspiring speech by Ms. June.
